Skilled Worker Codes is an independent reference site. It compiles the Skilled Worker visa occupation code rules published on GOV.UK into one searchable place: eligibility, going rates, salary thresholds and shortage lists for all 412 SOC 2020 codes.
Why it exists
The rules for a single occupation code are spread across several GOV.UK pages: the eligible occupations list, Appendix Skilled Occupations (11 tables), Appendix Skilled Worker, Appendix Immigration Salary List and the Temporary Shortage List. This site brings them together per code, with the source and date for every figure.
What it is not
- It is not immigration advice and doesn't assess anyone's circumstances. Only regulated advisers (registered with the Immigration Advice Authority) or solicitors can give immigration advice in the UK.
- It is not affiliated with the Home Office, UK Visas and Immigration or GOV.UK.
- It is not the legal source. The Immigration Rules on GOV.UK are.
Who runs it
The site is compiled by the SWC Editorial Team. How the data is gathered and checked is set out in the methodology.
